Rutter's Dairy, Pepsi-Lipton introduce new tea

Rutter's Dairy has introduced Southern Brew Sweet Tea to its line of iced teas. The newest flavor, the store chain's 13th iced-tea variety, is available in regular and diet gallon-sized containers. Rutter's Southern Brew Sweet Tea also is available at all Rutter's Farm Stores in York, Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin and Lancaster counties and at many other retail outlets in Pennsylvania and Maryland.

The dairy processes more than 15 million gallons of milk each year, and bottles and sells iced tea, tea coolers, orange juice and other fruit drinks.

York, Pa.-based Rutter's Farm Stores, which debuted in 1967 as an outlet for Rutter's Dairy products, operates 56 c-stores in York, Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin and Lancaster counties in Pennsylvania.

Separately, the Pepsi-Lipton Tea Partnership recently launched Lipton Sparkling Green Tea, marking the first-ever sparkling beverage from the Lipton trademark. It is a blend of fruit flavors, green tea and lightly sparkling water.

This spring Lipton Sparkling Green Tea will be available nationwide in regular Berry and both diet and regular Strawberry Kiwi varieties. Packaged in 16.9-oz., 20-oz. and 1.5-liter 12-packs, the new drink will be supported by a full slate of TV, radio and digital advertising.

The Pepsi-Lipton Tea Partnership, Purchase, N.Y., is a joint venture between Pepsi-Cola North America Beverages and Unilever.
