    October 7, 2003
Elopak Inc., New Hudson Mich., has realigned its U.S. sales and service organization to increase support for carton customers. Kevin Dysert is now providing carton sales and service to customers throughout the United States. Dysert’s responsibilities in the southwest have been assumed by Donald Manoly, senior area mgr. for the southern United States. John Schryver has taken on northern California and the Pacific Northwest, while Gary Lewis continues to serve the east.

Millerbernd Design and Fabrication, Winsted, Minn., has launched a new marketing campaign emphasizing its recent investments in intellectual capital, technology, and equipment. A “significant” investment has been made in the company’s manufacturing software to integrate customer contact management information with their enterprise resource planning (ERP) activities on the shop floor. The company also invested more than $1 million in capital equipment and a 15,000 sq. ft expansion of its manufacturing center.

Advanced Instruments Inc., Norwood, Mass, a supplier of instrumentation for the analysis of milk and dairy products, has announced the acquisition of Delta Instruments B.V., a well-established manufacturer of analytical instrumentation for the analysis of milk and dairy products based in the Netherlands. Under the agreement, Advanced Instruments acquired 100% of the stock of Delta Instruments. The product portfolio will continue to be marketed under the Delta Instruments brand and sold through a combined Delta Instruments and Advanced Instruments global distribution network.

Praxair Inc., Danbury, Conn., has reached an agreement with Sun Orchard Inc. of Tempe, Ariz., to install the first Praxair® Better Than Fresh™ non-thermal processing system for juice. Sun Orchard will use the patented Praxair system to produce fresh tasting orange juice for the retail industry as an alternative to traditional heat pasteurization. The Better Than Fresh™ system, when installed at Sun Orchard’s Florida facility in the second quarter of 2003, will process juice on a continuous line flow at a rate of 40 gals per minute.
