Roselani Ice Cream, Maui, Hawaii, continues to modernize its Wailuku plant. “Our brand new filler machine brings that part of our production up into the 21st century,” says ice cream maker Cathy Nobriga Kim.
Previously, cartons were filled and capped by hand, adjusting as they moved along the production line. The new system is fully automated which means it drops, fills, weighs and puts the covers on all the cartons. It has increased filling capacity from 14 up to 18 cartons per minute. It is simple, consistent, and clean, the processor says.
