Fortress Technology Inc. now offers the convenient option of utilizing its revolutionary CONTACT Communication Software without the need to run wires from a PHANTOM metal detector to a PC.

The introduction of a Wireless Ethernet Adapter has made this simple installation solution possible – it is the metal detection industry’s first wireless communication software solution.

CONTACT has proven to be an effective record-keeping tool ideally suited for making the metal detector a Critical Control Point in HACCP safety program initiatives. CONTACT communicates with Fortress’ PHANTOM line of metal detectors to collect valuable quality assurance data including test results, detections and faults. The system lets you know what, when and where something happened, providing important intelligence to assist in preventative measures procedures.

The versatile CONTACT system stores information for long periods of time in either MS Access or SQL databases. Generating reports can be done manually, or the system can be programmed to automatically create reports at scheduled intervals. Information can also be made available to other applications as a result of the non-proprietary database platforms.

In addition to the Wireless Ethernet connection option, Fortress offers a choice of hardwired connection options using RS485 or Standard Ethernet interface. CONTACT can be installed on any PC running Windows 2000, XP or Vista.
