Workers ended their strike of the Tillamook County Creamery Association, 11 days after walking out last month over increasing health costs.

Teamsters Local 58 employees voted 150-48 to return to work. Their vote, which affects about 260 production, packaging, cold storage, transportation and other workers, came after the co-op agreed to cover about 13% more of increasing health-benefit premiums.

Both sides said they were relieved to have the strike (Tillamook’s first since 1959) behind them.

Until now, the cooperative has paid 100% percent of health-care premiums for covered workers. Under the agreement reached in July, workers will pay 5%.
