Johnson Refrigerated Truck Bodies is
“Celebrating 75 Years of Coolness” in 2007, to mark the anniversary of the
company’s founding in 1932. The four Johnson brothers—Henry, Morris, Hugo and
Herbert—opened the doors to Johnson Welding & Manufacturing Co. in Rice
Lake, Wis., that year.
Synergy Flavors Inc. , Wauconda, Ill., has moved to
strengthen its presence in South America by purchasing the Brazilian-based
American Flavors and Fragrance do Brasil (AFF). Brazil is considered the
entryway to “Mercosur,” or the South American Common Market.

functionality. Designed to provide optimal ease of use and more in-depth
product information, the site features a new homepage, updated graphics, and a
user-friendly navigation system.
Alcan Packaging Food Americas, Chicago, has won top honors
in two categories in the 2007 PLGA Global U.S. Print Quality Awards. Sponsored
by the Packaging and Label Gravure Association Global, the awards recognize
excellence in gravure printing. One of winners was in the Film/Film Lamination
Process category, for Alcan’s Shrek Animals cookie bag for Kellogg Co.
The British Journal of Nutrition has published the latest clinical trial
results on Clarinol CLA from Lipid Nutrition. The new
research published in April, clearly demonstrates that Clarinol CLA reduces fat
mass in particular locations on the body, without any additional exercise.
Previous research on CLA was not able to establish this prior to this study.
The subjects in the trial lost 2 kg of fat (equal to 4.4 lbs.) around the waist
area and in the legs.
