Groupe Danone has increased its stake in Wimm-Bill-Dann Foods, Russia’s leading producer of juice and dairy products from 9.9% to 12.9%. The announcement came last month as the Russian partnership completed the acquisition of the Moscow-based dairy producer Ochakovo, the fourth-largest dairy producer in Russia. Groupe Danone also plans to spend $58 million to build a new fresh dairy products plant in Ferrieres-en-Bray in France.
