Wixon,
Inc., St. Francis, Wis. —Leda Strand promoted to dir. of technology
applications & industrial ingredients. In her new role, Strand will lead
the Magnifique Technology applications research by solving customers’ specific
food issues using Wixon’s technology.
She also will continue to direct product development projects for a key
customer. Strand has 17 years of professional experience.
ESE Inc., Marshfield, Wis. — Matthew Hofmeister and Todd
Wolf have joined ESE’s engineering team as process controls engineers. Hofmeister brings seven years of experience
in system automation, design, programming, and installation. Wolf has 14 years
experience and a similar background. Both will work with food and dairy
companies. ESE, Inc. provides production capacity and profit improvement system
solutions utilizing Rockwell Automation controls and instrumentation.

Solvay North America, LLC,
Houston—Michael Lacey named v.p. of finance and information
technology. He succeeds Phil Uhrhan, who retired in February. Most recently
Lacey served as president and CEO of Solvay Solexis, Inc. in Thorofare,
N.J.
Johnson Truck Bodies, Rice Lake, Wis. —Former employee Al
Miller returns after being away from the company for 15 months. Miller will work in a newly created position
as national sales mgr. Additional
recent new hires include: Donald Breault and Donna Cherry, buyers in the
purchasing department; James Wallin, safety specialist; and Shanna Smith, human
resource generalist.
Land O’Lakes, Inc., St. Paul, Minn. —Jerry Kaminski
appointed vice president of Land O’Lakes, leading the company’s dairy foods
foodservice division. Kaminski will be responsible for all foodservice
marketing and sales, which includes new product development, dairy ingredients
marketing, and sales to full-service restaurants and schools. Kaminski has more than 25 years of
experience in the foodservice and retail businesses. He was most recently president and chief operating officer of
Sparboe Companies, a privately held egg producer.
