American Egg Board, Charleston, N.C. — The Executive Committee selected Joanne C. Ivy, current sr. v.p., to succeed Louis B. Raffel as president and CEO. She was previously executive director of the North Carolina Egg Association.

Purity Dairies Inc., Nashville, Tenn. — Mark Ezell, pres., has received the President’s Call to Service Award, the highest honor bestowed by the President’s Council for Service and Civic Participation. He was presented with the award November 14 during a surprise announcement at the annual fundraiser for Rocketown Nashville, a youth services facility of which Ezell is co-founder.

Multivac Inc., Kansas City, Mo. — Jan Erik Kuhlmann is appointed president and CEO, joining the company with more than 25 years of experience in the capital equipment business. He most recently served as president of Wolf-Tec Inc.


Columbia Machine Inc., Vancouver, Wash. — Rick Goode is named president and CEO. He begins after 11 years with Columbia.


Amcor PET Packaging, Manchester, Mich. — William Featherstone joins the beverage division as v.p., sales. Kim Houchens is named v.p., product development for North America.


Fruitcrown Products Corporation, Farmingdale, N.Y. — Bill Weiskopf is appointed to the position of v.p. of sales and new business development. He has more than 12 years of experience working in the dairy industry.


The International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA), Washington, D.C. — Ruth Dyk Saunders is named sr. director of policy communications. Additionally, two new vice presidents who will work closely on the national Milk Mustache “got milk?” marketing campaign are Julia Kadison, who joins as v.p., marketing, and Julie Buric, who has been promoted to v.p., marketing.


Alcan Packaging Food Americas, Chicago — Michael Curia’s role as v.p. and gen. mgr., Meat & Dairy Flexibles North America and Rigid Containers have been expanded to include the business unit’s finance function and customer service activities.


Atlantium, Har Tuv, Israel and Shanghai, China — George Gu will lead the company’s new Shanghai office. Gu is formerly with Ecolab Chemicals and Shanghai Suntory Beverage.


Thiele Technologies Inc., Minneapolis — Penny Bretle is named director of Organization Empowerment, responsible for human resource activities.


R. Mueller Service and Equipment Company Inc., Monroe, Wis. — Shaya Stettler has joined the company as a sales representative.


Thermo King Corp., Minneapolis — Craig Fisher is named director of marketing. He will continue his duties as director of dealer development until a successor has been named.


Dean Foods Company, Dallas — Bradley J. Holcomb has joined the company as sr. v.p. and Chief Procurement Officer, Dairy Group. He was previously with Royal Group Technologies Limited.


National Dairy Board, Kansas City, Mo. — Les Hardesty, a Greeley, Colo., dairy farmer and member of the Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. (DFA) Board of Directors, was elected chairman of the National Dairy Board (NDB). He is serving his second three-year term on the board and was twice elected vice chairman. He is also chairman of DFA’s Mountain Area Council.
