Pleased be advised that Pierre Foods (a company that produces a complete line of fully cooked beef, pork, chicken, turkey and bakery products for school, foodservice, vending and convenience store markets) filed Chapter 11 on July 15, 2008.  Due to the similarity of our names, and the fact that we are both in Ohio, this action has created some confusion amongst our customers and vendors.

The purpose of my letter is to clarify that Pierre’s Ice Cream Co. is not related to Pierre Foods in any way. 

Pierre’s Ice Cream Co. is pleased to continue servicing its customers, and dealing with its vendors, in the same stable and successful manner that it has for the past 76 years.
