LMI Packaging Solutions Inc., a flexible packaging manufacturer that provides heat seal lidding and services for food companies, has hired Imran Mukhtar as vice president, operations.

LMI Packaging Solutions Inc., a flexible packaging manufacturer that provides heat seal lidding and services for food companies, has hired Imran Mukhtar as vice president, operations. He will report directly to LMI Packaging Solutions CEO Jean Moran and will be a member of the company’s executive committee. Mukhtar brings valued expertise to LMI Packaging’s executive team with comprehensive experience in operational efficiency, quality assurance, process optimization, capacity management, inventory control and international management.

“We are pleased to welcome Imran to our executive team,” said Moran. “Imran’s experience in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, combined with his successes in quality assurance and improving customer satisfaction will be invaluable as our company continues to grow and expand.” Mukhtar will lead all manufacturing, quality assurance, transportation and supplier partnership activities at the Pleasant Prairie, Wis., firm.

Mukhtar received a BS in engineering from the University of Alabama with a major in mechanical engineering and an MBA from the Wayne Huizenga Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University. Prior to joining LMI Packaging, Mukhtar worked in business unit operational leadership for a large multinational company in the specialty packaging industry serving the pharmaceutical market providing solutions using glass tubing, vials and ampoules.

Mukhtar replaces Vince Incandela, who will now lead the company’s corporate social awareness programs in the newly created position of director of social Awareness.
