JMP Engineering opens North American office

    August 24, 2010
JMP Engineering Ltd., a New Zealand-based systems solution provider and manufacturer of robotic palletizing and packaging equipment, announces the opening of a new office servicing their rapidly growing North American market.

JMP Engineering Ltd., a New Zealand-based systems solution provider and manufacturer of robotic palletizing and packaging equipment, announces the opening of a new office servicing their rapidly growing North American market. The opening of this location is a direct indication of JMP’s commitment to supporting their current and future customers in the region.

“Over the last few years, we have installed nearly one hundred robotic palletizing systems in North America, our growth in the region has been phenomenal,” says Michael Thornton, managing director. “Opening an office there was an easy decision.”

JMP has sold more than 340 robotic palletizing systems worldwide servicing a variety of industries. Systems can be found in New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, Fiji, Malaysia, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Dubai, Ireland, Canada and the States.

The ability to design, engineer, manufacture, integrate and install stretch wrappers, pallet dispensers, conveyors, robotic grippers, electrical panels, tooling, safety guarding, as well as other key system components, enables JMP a unique competitive advantage since equipment design and costs can be closely monitored.  In addition, customized components and product innovations are commonplace due to the close relationship between system design, engineering and manufacturing.

JMP Engineering’s recent commitment and focus on the North America market have not gone unnoticed. The company was recently awarded by Frito Lay, a division of PepsiCo, with the prestigious “2009 Capital Supplier of the Year.” In addition, JMP has received awards in consecutive years from Kawasaki Robotics: “2009 Top Producer Award” and “2008 New Market Award.”

Located in Clarkston, Michigan, the new facility will be responsible for sales and service of JMP systems and equipment in North America. Phil Wright, former sales and marketing manager of Kawasaki Robotics (USA), will be at the helm and joins the JMP Engineering team with more than 11 years experience in the industry.

“We are excited to have Mr. Wright on board,” says David Gross, general manager. “He brings a great deal of knowledge and experience with him and I am certain he will be an asset to JMP.”

The North America office is a subsidiary of JMP Engineering Ltd. and will go by the name JMP Robotics (www.jmprobotics.com). Please visit the website www.jmprobotics.com or email Phil Wright (phil.wright@jmprobotics.com) with any questions.
