Chr. Hansen received a Food Ingredients Excellence Award for its natural color Red Strawberry Fragaria. The highly concentrated, water soluble, liquid carmine color is developed specifically for fermented milk products and fruit preparations. The company's Régis Roubille, Global Technical Industry Manager of Dairy and Fruit Preparations, accepted the award at the FI Excellence Awards 2011 ceremony in Paris in November.
The German Packaging Institute awarded Krones the German Packaging Prize for its microwave heating technology incorporated in its stretch blow-moulding machines.
