It might be said that there’s no manual for corporate responsibility. Well, now there is. A public relations trade publication, PR News has just published its Guide to Best Practices in Corporate Social Responsibility. The company says the guide is designed for communications executives at all levels and at companies of all sizes “who understand that CSR is no longer nice-to-do, but must-do.”

IDFA is now accepting applications for the fourth annual Dairy Industry Safety Recognition Awards, a program that honors firms for outstanding worker safety performance. Award winners will be honored this fall at Worldwide Food Expo, October 24-27, in Chicago. IDFA began the program in 2004, and the rate of industry participation has grown stronger each year. There is no fee to enter. All entries must be submitted to IDFA no later than March 31.

Imagine a world where dreams come true, an island without worries, just laughter, or a town where weightlessness is part of everyday life.  These places exist in the next round of the “Toma Leche” (Drink Milk) ads produced by the California Milk Processor Board.  This year’s Spanish-language campaign, developed by Long Beach-based Grupo Gallegos, consists of three 30-second TV spots. ‘Dreams’ and ‘Laughs’ will run until May, with the third installment ‘Law of Gravity’ rotating in starting May 14th.

Alltech and the World Games Foundation have announced that Dippin’ Dots Global is the official ice cream of the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. Dippin’ Dots are tiny, cryogenically frozen beads of ice cream, yogurt, sherbet, and flavored ice, invented in 1988 by microbiologist and entrepreneur Curt Jones. Alltech’s and Dippin’ Dots’ financial and worldwide scopes facilitate an accelerated international growth strategy for the ice cream. Satellite manufacturing plants are strategically located to take advantage of free trade agreements and local resources.  Following Korea and Canada, Mexico will be the third country outside of the U.S. to implement local Dippin’ Dots production.
