Parmalat Canada took three first place awards at the 5th Canadian Cheese Grand Prix held by the Dairy Farmers of Canada. Parmalat won first place in each of the Fresh Cheese categories for Feta (Black Diamond), the Medium Cheddar category for Balderson Medium, and Old and Extra Old Cheddar category for Balderson 5 Year Heritage Cheddar.

These three awards brought Parmalat's total standing to nine awards—the largest number of first place Championship shows for cheddar of any cheese manufacturer in Canada.

“We are thrilled and deeply gratified to see that our cheesemakers have been recognized in so many first place Championships for the Balderson Cheese Brand,” says Mike Sobol, senior brand mgr. for Parmalat’s deli division.
