Got Recognized

A recent survey of advertising, marketing and branding professionals found that the got milk? phrase

is the most influential

tagline in advertising since 1948. Conducted by TaglineGuru.com., the study found that half of the top 100 taglines (out of 300 studied) were created in the 1960s and 1970s.



Dean Profits

Dean Foods said second-quarter profit rose 12% as raw milk costs fell and sales increased in the White Wave Foods unit. Net income jumped to $86.6 million, or 55% from $77.1 million. Sales were little changed at $2.62 billion.


Blue Milk

Prairie Farms., Carlinville, Ill., has become the official milk of the Indianapolis Colts. The promotion uses the phrase Blue Milk, reflecting the NFL franchise’s uniform color.


Cheese Vhiz

Kraft Foods has started selling melted cheese in Russia. In a bid to become a leading player in the sector within seven years, Kraft has reportedly announced an aggressive market expansion plan.


Wal-Mart Culture

Lifeway Foods has begun distribution of its kefir product in a test market of 17 Wal-Mart stores in the Chicago area. The company hopes to eventually move into nationwide distribution for Wal-Mart.
