Butter to flow again

New Zealand and the European Union have reached an interim arrangement to allow their disputed butter trade to resume but have been unable to agree on a long-term settlement. The European Commission suspended New Zealand’s annual quota of nearly 77,000 tons of butter in July following a European Court ruling over a bilateral trade agreement.


Allergic or not?

Food allergies are a serious problem for some people, but in the U.S. the fear of food allergy appears to be much more common than the allergies themselves. One out of every three U.S. resident claims to have a food allergy, while government and medical association estimates put the incident rate at only between one in 25 and one in 70.


Expercheese

British Invasion

It’s not the latest pop band, but the UK’s top supermarket chain Tesco that’s coming across the pond. Next target is reportedly the fast-growing Las Vegas area. The new plans are in addition to its intentions to open stores in Los Angeles and Phoenix next year.
