The sponsors of Worldwide Food Expo 2005 say that this year's event has been a great success, hosting more than 25,000 attendees from 100 countries around the globe. The biennial, global food technology event, which ran Oct. 26-29, is sponsored by the American Meat Institute (AMI), the International Dairy Foods Assn. (IDFA) and the International Assn. of Food Industry Suppliers (IAFIS).

Exhibitors including Tetra Pak, Chr. Hansen, Norse Dairy Systems, and APV unveiled new innovations, new product lines and new partnerships at the show.

There were 1,100 exhibitors on more than one million square feet of floor space. Attendance continued to reflect the show's growing popularity among food and beverage manufacturers, packers and processors across many categories of products.

"The show continues to draw a high number of qualified buyers, due we think to the quality of the exhibits, the terrific programming — and the fact that this is clearly the show for staying abreast of food and beverage processing technology," said IDFA President and CEO Connie Tipton.
