Vice President of Dairy, Perfect Day
Suvash Kafley serves as Vice President of Dairy at Perfect Day, a consumer biology company on a mission to create a kinder, greener tomorrow by developing new ways to make the foods you love today — starting in the dairy aisle. In his role, he leads the research and food teams to ensure Perfect Day protein has the ideal nutritional benefits, functionality, texture, and flavor.
Suvash brings over a decade and a half of product and process development expertise, having spent his career in the dairy industry. He applies his deep understanding of protein applications from traditional dairy in new, innovative ways at Perfect Day. The result is protein which creates a rich, creamy, smooth, and indulgent eating experience and excels in product applications requiring solubility, gelation, water-binding, foaming, heat stability, and emulsification—all without a single animal.
Suvash is skilled at deriving the best quality possible from the ingredients he works with, with the goal of producing the best product for the consumer in taste and nutrition. He has been able to accomplish these goals while allowing companies to create the most product and profitability from available investments and resources.
Suvash earned his Executive MBA from the University of St. Thomas and his MS from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. He is passionate about the future of animal-free dairy and, with the rest of the Perfect Day team, is driving Perfect Day to its vision of building a more equitable, resilient, and diverse food system for all of us.
