The demand of plant based beverages and proteins from several sources are proliferating across even those populations which were once mostly consuming animal proteins. Rise of flexitarian consumers together with increasing number of vegetarians and vegans have aided into the consumption of plant proteins and beverages. Scientific advancements have led to the production of high quality plant-derived proteins and beverages that have become alternative sources to variety of animal based products. The development in this sector also relies on the knowledge and application of different process technologies including membrane filtration to obtain appropriate separation and concentration.
