Danone debuts Silk Kids ‘almondmilk’ yogurt alternative
The launch is Silk's first-ever kids' product.
Danone North America, based in Broomfield, Colo., and White Plains, N.Y., said it unveiled its latest plant-based product innovation — Silk Kids “almondmilk” yogurt alternative. The new yogurt alternative is fortified with calcium and vitamin D to help support strong bones and has 25% less sugar per ounce (1.75 grams) than the average of other flavored yogurt alternatives (2.4 grams).
According to Danone North America, the yogurt alternative is also peanut-free, gluten-free, lactose-free and Non-GMO Project Verified. It comes in three flavors, including Mixed Berry, Apple Cinnamon and Strawberry, and will be available at select retailers starting this month.
