Titan Frozen Fruit invests in thermal processing of fruit ingredients
The company will offer clients frozen pasteurized and aseptic fruit particulates in a variety of cut sizes.
Santa Maria, Calif.-based Titan Frozen Fruit announced its expansion and investment into thermal processing of particulate fruit ingredients. The company said its new ohmic heating system, which utilizes the passage of high-frequency current directly through the product as it flows through a thermal conductivity tubular system, represents the fastest technology to uniformly heat fruit particulates while preserving the integrity, texture and organoleptic characteristics of the final product.
Titan said it will now have the ability to offer clients frozen pasteurized and aseptic fruit particulates in a variety of cut sizes. Thermal processing remains the most effective approach to deliver safe products by achieving the required 5-log reductions on target microorganisms. This thermal process capability will expand the options given to Titan’s client base, allowing them to provide safer food products to the end consumer. Titan will continue to keep food safety initiatives at the forefront of its expanding business.
