Champignon North America begins importing Rougette grilling cheeses
The cheeses, which are popular in Europe, come in two varieties: Soft-Ripened and Herb Marinated.
Champignon North America, Englewood Cliffs, N.J., said it is now exclusively importing Rougette Bonfire grilling cheeses from Käserei Champignon, Lauben, Germany, to select retailers across the United States. The cheeses, which are popular in Europe, are easy to grill, come in two flavors and can be incorporated into a wide variety of recipes and lifestyles.
The Soft-Ripened grilling cheese variety is made to be heated directly on the grill. The cheese can withstand the direct heat without melting or sticking to the grill. It develops a char-grilled, golden crispy outside and a warm and creamy inside, Champignon said.
