Fairlife to award $100,000 to local groups working to improve food systems
Groups in eight cities will receive grants.
Fairlife LLC, the Chicago-based maker of Fairlife ultra-filtered milk, announced the launch of its 2019 Fairlife Grant Program, which seeks to support community groups working to improve food systems in underserved communities. The grant program was first introduced in 2018 in four U.S. cities with high rates of food insecurity, providing financial support to chosen organizations that serve and impact lives through the provision of better nutrition.
In 2019, the Fairlife Grant Program is expanding to eight cities. Five community groups in each city will each receive a $2,500 grant to advance the vision and direction of these community-led groups with missions that align with those of Fairlife.
