Tasty, the social food network part of New York-based BuzzFeed, is moving from the virtual world to the freezer aisle. The website, known for its recipe videos, it is joining with Vevey, Switzerland-based Nestlé, with U.S. headquarters in Arlington, Va., to launch Tasty ice cream, BuzzFeed said.
Tasty said the ice cream brand is the first to release exclusively limited-edition flavors. Starting in February, Tasty’s first four flavors will start hitting shelves, and once they sell out, they’re gone. The brand will have two more limited-edition flavor launches in 2019.
