Organic Valley partners with Dr. Bronner's to help wildfire victims
Along with the Grassroots Alliance, the companies are delivering food and aid to those impacted by the Camp Fire in Northern California.
Organic Valley, a La Farge, Wis.-headquartered dairy cooperative, and Vista, Calif.-based organic soap-maker Dr. Bronner's are partnering with the Colorado nonprofit GrassRoots Alliance, through the Grassroots Aid Partnership, to deliver food and aid to those affected and displaced by the Camp Fire in Northern California. The group is partnering with the North State Food Bank (NSFB) in Oroville, Calif., to assist in the distribution of aid from Organic Valley and Dr. Bronner's to thousands of families affected by the devastation.
NSFB has a proven track record of efficient food distribution in Northern California, Organic Valley noted. In 2017 alone, NSFB distributed more than 800,000 pounds of food to 52 partner agencies and food pantries locally and distributed more than 40,000 emergency food boxes in five counties covering a 12,000-square-mile radius.
