Ben & Jerry’s releases reduced-cal, reduced-sugar pints
The ice cream, available in three flavors, contains 140 to 160 calories per serving.
Ben & Jerry’s, Burlington, Vt., introduced a line of reduced-calorie, reduced-sugar pints that gives its customers a “less guilt” option, the company said. Called Moo-phoria, the ice cream contains 60-70% less fat and at least 35% fewer calories than traditional ice cream, according to the company. The light ice cream is available in three flavors, featuring the company’s signature chunks and swirls:
“Ben & Jerry’s tries to offer a little bit of something for everyone,” said Dena Wimette, senior innovation manager. “We’re excited to have an incredible new option for our fans who say they can’t be trusted with a pint of Ben & Jerry’s in their freezers.”
