WOW Logistics Company launched a new social media site dedicated solely to the dairy industry early last month at the International Cheese Technology Expo. Dairy Insider, Powered by WOW Logistics, aims to connect a wide range of dairy professionals, from producers and brokers, to suppliers, and others involved in the dairy marketplace.

“Our company saw a need in the industry that wasn’t being filled and decided to create this community,” said Randy F. Radtke, vice president of marketing at WOW Logistics. “The goal was simple: to provide a free online community for all those in the dairy industry to gather, network, share news, and promote their own businesses.”

The site is extremely easy to navigate and shares functionalities that users will be familiar with through other popular social networking sites like Facebook and LinkedIn. It offers a free classifieds area, polls, blogs section, forum, events page, and other sections users will value. In addition to being free, accounts are simple to create with just a valid email address.

“Early response to Dairy Insider has been very good,” Radtke said. “People have grasped the value of a dairy-specific destination on the web that gives them a variety of dairy information and the ability to build industry connections in one spot.”
