Edlong Dairy Technologies awards $3k scholarship to Virginia Tech student
Hayley Potts is assisting in research on face-reader reactions to food products and consumer acceptance of food products based on their emotional responses.
Hayley Potts (pictured), who will be entering her senior year at Virginia Tech majoring in Food Science & Technology, has been awarded the Edlong Dairy Technologies Scholarship through IFT, the Institute of Food Technologists. The IFT annual meeting and food expo is going on this week in New Orleans.
“Hayley’s passion for dairy foods processing and research, interest in food science and technology, and leadership in numerous career-related extracurricular activities made her an obvious choice for this year’s scholarship,” said Edlong Dairy Technologies CEO Laurette Rondenet-Smith.
