Home » Dannon creates new low-fat Greek yogurt targeted to kids
The Dannon Co., White Plains, N.Y., added a new low-fat Greek yogurt to its line earlier this year designed to appeal to children. The Danimals SuperStars has a less tart taste, according to the company. The yogurt contains 10 grams of protein, 110 calories, 1.5 grams of fat and 14 grams of sugar per 4-ounce serving size.
The Greek yogurt comes in five kid-friendly flavors: cherry, cotton candy, mixed berry, strawberry banana and strawberry. It’s made without artificial colors or flavors and high-fructose corn syrup.
The yogurt is sold in 4-ounce 4-count packages for a suggested retail price of approximately $2.50, and is now available in retailers across the United States, including Wal-Mart.
Dannon’s other Danimals products include Danimals smoothies, Smoothie Max, Crunchers and nonfat yogurt.
