Smari’s organic Icelandic yogurt is high in protein
Smari Organics, Petaluma, Calif., introduced its Smari grass-fed, organic Icelandic yogurt to the national market.
With 17 to 20 grams of protein per serving, the nonfat yogurt has more protein per serving than any other yogurt in the United States, according to the company. It's the only certified organic Icelandic yogurt available. The milk and fruit are not treated with hormones, pesticides or herbicides. And the cows are grass-fed Jerseys and Guernseys that make richer, thicker, more nutritious, better-tasting milk, according to the company.
The yogurt is available in pure (plain), strawberry, blueberry and vanilla flavors. Smari flavors are made with organic fruit, vanilla extract and a touch of cane sugar.
