HP Hood, Lynnfield, Mass., announced today it has entered the Greek frozen yogurt category. The company has four flavors: blueberry, double chocolate chip, honey vanilla and raspberry granola. It is available in the New England states and parts of New York, Hood spokesperson Sarah Barow told Dairy Foods. Hood is manufacturing the product at its Suffield, Conn., frozen dairy plant.
While competitive product is sold in pints, Hood is packaging the frozen yogurt in quarts, with a suggested retail price of $3.99 per container. Each serving of Hood Greek frozen yogurt has five grams of protein.It is made with live and active cultures.
