Sargento Foods Inc., Plymouth, Wis.-David Vroom joins as senior v.p. of the sales, marketing and innovation team. Vroom has more than 22 years experience in business management and will coordinate the corporate-wide innovation initiatives.

Randolph Associates Inc., Birmingham, Ala.-Karen Castiello joins as a food safety & quality assurance consultant. Castiello has over 20 years experience in the food industry. She will assist with development of food safety and quality programs, allergen and labeling issues, auditing programs and technical training.

Maytag Dairy Farm, Newton, Iowa-President and chief executive Jim Stevens retires after 59 years with the company. Maytag Dairy Farm is the maker of Maytag Blue Cheese.

FKI Logistex, St. Louis-Todd Ploudre promoted to controller and Kevin Brophy to manager, financial analysis, for the company's FKI Logistex Manufacturing Systems North America. Ploudre has served in various positions of increasing responsibility at the company's Alvey Systems unit for the past eight years. He will now focus on process improvements and the integration of the division's accounting functions. He has held various increasingly important financial positions at Alvey Systems during the past nine years.

Eurotherm, Leesburg, Va.-Ron DiGiacomo appointed Northeastern regional sales mgr. Di Giacomo comes to Eurotherm from Foxboro, where he worked as a rep manager for the Coriolis Flow Group. His 20 years of experience were spent primarily in process instrumentation. During his career he managed rep offices from Virginia through eastern Canada and worked closely with distributors. Eurotherm is a leading manufacturer and supplier of industrial instrumentation for the process control and data acquisition industries, and a unit of Invensys plc.

DSM Food Specialties, Eagleville, Pa.-Dicki Lulay has been named v.p. of savory ingredients for DSM Food Specialties. She brings to the company significant experience in business development, strategic planning, marketing and R&D. Prior to joining DSM, she has served with McCormick & Company's Global Restaurant Division, Nabisco Foods, Basic American Foods, The McKesson Corporation and Dole.

TIC Gums, Belcamp, Md.-Greg Andon promoted to business development mgr. Andon's previous role was as northeast sales mgr. He has been with TIC Gums for seven years.

GTC Nutrition, Golden, Colo.-Juliana Zeiher joins as the food applications mgr. Zeiher has more than seven years of national and international food applications experience. She most recently served as the applications scientist at Davisco Foods International, Inc.
