Registration is now open for the second Wisconsin Center for Dairy Research Certificate in Dairy Processing short course. This session begins Wednesday, September 7, 2016, with an all-day Introductory Session at the Center for Dairy Research in Madison, WI, followed by 10 weeks of online training (Sept. 7-Nov. 23).
Administrated by the Center for Dairy Research and led by some of the leading experts in the field, this hybrid course will prepare plant workers to become leaders in their field. Participants can expect a practical applications approach to learning the various aspects of dairy processing that will include milk chemistry and food safety to production of cheese and handling of whey.
Attendance will be limited to 30 participants, but a waiting list will be available for those who wish to be enrolled into the next ten-week sessions planned for 2017. The cost for this ten-week certificate program is $900 per student, or $800 per student if a company registers five or more attendees in one year.
