Dairy Foods' 22nd annual Dairy 100 report identifies the largest dairy processors based in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Three companies are based in Canada and one in Mexico. Wisconsin is home to the most Dairy 100 firms (12), followed by California and Minnesota (each with 10).

For the first quarter (ended March 31), Land O'Lakes reported quarterly net sales of $3.8 billion and net earnings of $99.4 million.

Grupo LaLa, Mexico City, said that its first quarter net sales rose 4.7% to 11,630 million pesos. Net income rose 18.6% to 944 million pesos. 

Kraft Foods Group said its first-quarter net revenues declined 0.2% from the previous period and operating income was down 18.1%.

The Irish Dairy Board changed its name to Ornua, The Home of Irish Dairy. 

H.J. Heinz Company and Kraft Foods Group Inc. today announced that they have entered into a definitive merger agreement to create The Kraft Heinz Co.
