Fruit and herbal infusions, teas and botanicals
The Martin Bauer business unit is responsible for the cultivation, sourcing, cleaning, cutting, and processing of more than 200 botanical raw materials for a variety of uses, including tea bags, loose teas, extraction, and specialty applications. Raw materials are purchased from every continent and climate zone to minimize risk associated with crop failures.

The Martin Bauer Group’s team of agricultural engineers works closely with its grower partners at origin, controlling cultivation and collection to guarantee product quality and safety. Up to 12 months of raw material inventory is maintained to ensure a continuous supply. In addition, compliance with regional legislation is ensured through the use of advanced production equipment and technologies that include in-house-developed, plant-specific processes for the reduction of micro-organisms and disinfestations of botanicals.

As a global leader in the production of botanical extracts, Martin Bauer provides a wide range of quality-assured herbal, fruit and tea extracts in ready-to-use liquid or dried form through its Plantextrakt business unit.

Botanical extracts from more than 120 different plant types are manufactured in state-of-the-art facilities to the highest quality and safety standards to provide exceptional taste, aroma and solubility. In addition, they are stability-tested, standardized on key attributes, and scientifically proved to be safe. The guaranteed safety and quality of all Martin Bauer Group ingredients is essential as the focus on health and wellness in foods and beverages grows from a trend to a minimum requirement for consumers worldwide.

Martin Bauer, through its Kentea business unit, is one of the largest leaf tea importers in North America, with a reputation for quality, safety and customer service.
