Fortress Interlocks has introduced its new design of Slide Bar for use with its AutoStop gate switch unit. The robust Slide Bar, cast from stainless steel, can be used on both hinged and sliding doors and provides an enhanced level of safety without compromising functionality and ease of access. As well as providing all the safety features of a gate switch, the Slide Bar design ensures the power cannot be turned on simply by slamming the door behind an operator. The Slide Bar also features padlock holes for lock-out operations and an internal release handle which acts as an emergency stop.

Vigilistics has introduced configurable software for tracking, tracing and analysis of process manufacturing. Developed for seven global leaders in dairy and food manufacturing, Vigilistics software provides auditable records for Bioterrorism Act and FDA compliance, improves energy use, reduces product loss, and provides production data for ERP systems. Vigilistics software integrates with existing plant systems and PLCs, adding capabilities to the plant operators’ systems. In the initial installation sites, Vigilistics systems are in mission-critical operations in fluid dairy, cheese, powdered milk, soup and other food applications. Vigilistics software is now available for global use in the dairy and food processing industries.

ATS Engineering has developed the SP1X2-3, a three-lane filling machine. On two lanes, the machine can run 8 ounces to 32 ounces of product, and on a single lane on the same machine it can run 2-, 3-, 4- and 5-pound containers. This one machine replaces two filling machines, and with a flick of a switch, the SP1X2-3 can change over from one size to the next.  It is all pre-set, so there is no adjustment necessary. Cleanability and easy changeover are additional highlights of the SP1X2-3 design.

Primera has introduced its new LX810 Color Label Printer. The LX810 Color Label Printer is an inkjet-based printer designed to print short-run, full-color labels at 4800 dpi print resolution. The LX810 prints full-color photos, text, graphics, illustrations and bar code labels. Printed labels are scratch and smudge-resistant and virtually waterproof. The LX810 is easy to set-up and operate. It comes equipped with printer drivers for Windows® 2000/XP and Mac® OS X version 10.2 or higher. Wright Pump has extended its sanitary product through the addition of a new family of high-purity centrifugal pumps, positioning Wright as the global sanitary, pharmaceutical and biotech industries’ single source for high-purity fluid-handling hygienic applications. The new TRA400 series of centrifugal pumps are available in five models in both volute and non-volute styles. Each pump is machined from 316L stainless steel or other high-quality alloy bar and plates eliminating the problems associated with traditional castings, such as cracks, pits, shrink and high ferrite content that may cause rouging in pure water systems. Simplify hand hygiene compliance and enhance HACCP programs with GOJO® and Purell® branded products, now available through Nelson-Jameson. Rotary valves used in pneumatic conveying applications do wear, which can result in the valve’s rotor vanes coming into contact with the valve body. If metal-to-metal contact occurs, metal fragments can break off and contaminate the product, causing costly shutdowns and product rejections. Nu-Con’s new Rotor Detection System (RDS) immediately alerts plant operators that metal-to-metal contact has occurred. Nu-Con’s RDS monitors the electrical isolation between the rotor and the valve housing. If a rotor vane touches the valve body, even if only for a split second, a warning is sent to personnel via the plant SCADA system and/or the valve is immediately shut down. RDS is available on new Nu-Con valves and can be retrofit to existing Nu-Con valves.
