Chocolate milk will take center stage again this October as the “Official Drink of Halloween” with a spooktacular retail feature incentive program from the Milk Processor Education Program, creators of the National Milk Mustache “got milk?” campaign. This year’s fourth annual Halloween promotion will encourage Moms to “Treat Your Bones with Chocolate Milk” with exciting POS to generate increased incremental milk sales. Participating retailers are eligible to earn a digital picture frame by featuring chocolate milk during the month of October.
“Treat Your Bones with Chocolate Milk” has all of the components of a winning promotion with eye-popping POS, national advertising and public relations support. Additionally materials are available for the Hispanic market celebrating El Día de los Muertos” (Day of the Dead) with culturally relevant POS.
The message for Moms is that chocolate milk provides the bone-building nutrients that growing ghouls need. Chocolate milk is a fun and nutritious treat, perfect for a time when Moms are searching for healthy alternatives.
“Halloween is a great time of year to generate excitement in the dairy case and gain incremental milk sales by promoting chocolate milk,” said Julia Kadison, vice president of marketing for MilkPEP. “Year after year these promotions help to stimulate increased sales volume for both chocolate and white milk among participating retailers. This year’s feature incentive ‘Treat Your Bones with Chocolate Milk’ provides the tools for retailers to boost milk sales and generate excitement around chocolate milk. The prize for retailers who participate is nothing to be scared of either.”
