Printpack introduces NeoAffinia film for shrink sleeves

NeoAffinia PETG, a new film from Printpack, is being introduced for shrink sleeve label applications.

NeoAffinia PETG, a new film from Printpack, is being introduced for shrink sleeve label applications. It is part of Printpack’s Affinia Series of high performance shrink film offerings. The unique attributes of Neo Affinia will create many new, differentiating ways to package and market consumer products.

NeoAffinia shrink labels, like the “Nut Hill Café” label, have a distinctive matte finish, providing a soft and velvety touch for the consumer.  The labels present a differentiated, natural look on the store shelf. NeoAffinia is a white film that provides superior light barrier protection for products that are negatively impacted by exposure to light. With light barrier provided by the shrink-sleeve label, it creates the opportunity for marketers and manufacturers to consider replacing expensive multilayer or pigmented containers with more cost-effective alternatives.

NeoAffinia has a 70%+ shrinkage rate, so it is particularly well suited for highly contoured containers. In regards to sustainability, it will deliver more film per pound due to its lower density and higher yield. This film is surface printed up to 10 colors in rotogravure or flexographic. It is a very strong fit for the health and beauty industry as well as dairy and juice marketers.

Shrink and roll-fed labels, tamper-evident bands and heat shrinkable sleeves for multipacks are printed in up to 10 colors using flexographic and rotogravure printing on a variety of shrink films and laminations.
