Tillamook County Creamery Association, Tillamook, Ore—Cliff Brady hired as vice president of operations. He comes to Tillamook from Scottsdale, Ariz. where he worked as a business consultant. The position became open last year when Jim McMullen became president and CEO upon Harold Schild’s retirement.

Sorrento Lactalis, Inc., Buffalo N.Y.—Erick Boutry appointed CEO of both Sorrento Lactalis Inc., and Sorrento USA. John Alferi appointed v.p of sales and marketing for Sorrento Lactalis. Boutry has been with parent company Group Lactalis SA for more than 15 years. Alferi has more than 25 years of experience in the consumer packaged goods arena, having worked for Diageo PLC, Del Monte Foods and the Clorox Co., and Proctor & Gamble.

Huhtamaki North America, Desoto Kan.—Larry Mason appointed division president foodservice & retail north. Mason joined Huhtamaki from Procter & Gamble last year as executive v.p. foodservice & retail.

Chr. Hansen, Inc, Milwaukee—Paul Montgomery joins as key account/ broker mgr. for the company’s sweetener business unit. Kevin Ramsey promoted to the position of dir. of technical services for the sweetener division. Montgomery has over 25 years of experience in the sweetener industry, most recently, with Imperial /Savannah Foods. Ramsey has been with the sweetener group for over 10 years.

American Fuji Seal, Bardstown, Ky.—Fred Crowe appointed president/CEO. Crowe has most recently been president of the North America Hygiene/ Medical business of BBA Nonwovens, part of London-based BBA Group plc. During his tenure with Printpack, Crowe held various leadership positions including director of sales, plant manager, vice president & general manager for diversified packaging and rampart packaging, and vice president, sales, marketing, and technology for U.S. Flexibles.

David Michael & Co., Philadelphia— Gordon Yu joins as regional sales for Southern and Eastern China, including the regions of Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Shanghai. Yu has seven years of experience in the food and flavor industry, in both technical and account management.

Degussa Corp., Parsippany, N.J.—Donald Vanderburgh named eastern regional account mgr. for the food service line. He will be responsible for the introduction and development of new business for the company’s line of Sweet Innovations™ products. He has more than 20 years of experience in the foodservice business, including a position with the Friendly Ice Cream Corp.

Givaudan, Cincinnati—Dan McCafferty joins Givaudan North American Flavors as senior v.p., sales and Tracey Glancy appointed v.p., sweet goods and dairy, Givaudan North American Flavors. McCafferty was most recently, senior v.p. with the Ortho Business Unit of the Scotts Company. Glancy transferred from Givaudan’s St. Louis office, where she was in charge of Givaudan’s Dairy business unit. She has been with Givaudan for 15 years.
