    July 9, 2007
    A-B-C

A-B-C is introducing a case packer that utilizes dynamic servo operation to ensure top precision and accuracy at speeds to 30 cases per minute. The case packer utilizes servo motors to control the main case drive, infeed, down stacker, and load pusher, ensuring precise case and product movement and gentle handling throughout the machine. PLC operation provides integral synchronization of all moving parts.

    Multivac

Cheese processors and others requiring automated vacuum pouch sealing can take advantage of Multivac’s new B400 belted chamber system. The B400 features Multivac’s industry-leading hygienic design with vacuum ports built into the lid and retractable side skirts for easy cleaning.  The height-adjustable seal bars are water cooled and bi-active, making the system ideal for shrink bag applications.  Stacked Busch vacuum pumps and a built-in Busch booster pump assure quick air evacuation.

Polypack Inc. developed the Clear-Print wrapper series. It is composed of a patent-pending integrated film perforation system, which perforates the film before multipacking products. Consequently, the machines run film of 1mil thick and require minimum maintenance. Capable of using clear or printed film, these shrink wrappers are compact, and the changeovers are made quickly and easily.

EPI has introduced an automatic system for labeling pre-made bags before filling the bags. The bags are stacked and fed through the feeder, labeled and restacked ready for use. Labels are applied accurately. EPI designs and manufactures labeling and inserting equipment that integrate with most packaging equipment. The company specializes in working with the dairy industry to apply labels to blocks, packages or bags of cheese; the insertion of promotional pieces into the packages, and case and corner labeling with printers for code and product data.

    Delkor

Delkor’s top load case packers incorporate a two-servo design of the standard Delkor Spot-Pak loader. This loader is suited for loading RSC cases, HSC trays, display trays, four-sided trays or dairy cases. The modular design allows for the erecting of the corrugate blank via tape or glue, laning of the product, loading of the product, and closing of the case with tape or glue.
