Lock Inspection Systems, Fitchburg, Mass., will be showcasing its new Insight range of metal detectors for the food and pharmaceutical industries at this year’s Pack Expo. In Lock tradition, the Insight line continues to blaze the trail for easy systems integration, and is offered with advanced plug and play architecture featuring an array of new communications options - USB, SCADA, wireless and standard Ethernet - designed to meet the requirements of both systems integrator and end user to equal degree.
All Insight detectors will be delivered with a completely redesigned, user friendly HMI. Insight’s standard membrane keypad now incorporates DDS (Direct Digital Signal) viewer - a feature of Optix, Lock’s new performance-enhancing metal detector management software - exclusive with Lock metal detectors. An innovative integrated digital search head and sophisticated Optix detector management software enable the Insight to create stable and sensitive product set-ups for the most demanding of applications.
Lock’s unique DDS vector diagram clearly displays the product signature detail that is needed to achieve the perfect product set-ups. DDS guarantees stable operation and market leading sensitivities to all metals. Manufacturers have a choice of single frequency or variable frequency.
Optix detector management software is installed on every Insight. It is a powerful diagnostic and problem-solving tool for engineers and operators with a large storage capacity. Optix data can be downloaded and emailed or faxed to facilitate immediate technical support from Lock experts where necessary. Datachek is available as an optional software package that allows remote monitoring and/or control of up to 40 metal detectors linked to a network.
