Carteret, N.J.-based Rye Fresh Inc., produces Cupful grass-fed kefir. The kefir is sold in 5.3-ounce cups and 32-ounce drinkable bottles. It comes in five drinkable varieties and five cup varieties:

  • Drinkable: Vanilla, blueberry, strawberry, nonfat plain, low-fat plain
  • Cup: Vanilla, peach, mango, plain and blueberry.

It's made with only natural ingredients, including organic cane sugar. The kefir is 99% lactose-free and contains 12 live and active kefir cultures, according to the company. The vanilla flavor contains 100 calories, 3 grams of fat, 14 grams of sugar and 7 grams of protein per 5.3-ounce serving.

Cupful products are available at retailers like Shop Rite, Fairway Market and other organic/natural independent markets throughout the Northeast for a suggested retail price of $4.29 for drinkable and $1.49 for cups.
