Data Specialists Inc., Elkhorn, Wis., offers a liquid scheduling software module that is said to offer more control over the incoming milk supply and increases the efficiency of managing dairy liquids by cooperatives, dairy plants and haulers.

Users can schedule all of their incoming and outgoing loads with greater efficiency. Customers can place orders for dairy liquids through a portal, allowing the scheduler to see demand in a simple, condensed fashion. As orders are scheduled and routes selected, the customer gets access to that information, along with a confirmation and expected delivery times.

Haulers and carriers will be able to notify customers with updated delivery times so that intake has all of the up to date information on hand. Liquid Scheduling is designed to work with DSI’s Complete Milk Management Modules, helping to eliminate data entry at the point of intake, so that the proper information feeds directly into the milk billing system or producer payroll.

DSI President Ryan Mertes said “This software will give the user the ability to handle all dairy liquids (milk, cream, skim, whey, condensed skim, and other custom products), control and schedule all incoming and outgoing dairy liquids from a single screen. It also provides external access for customers and haulers and offers an external ordering system. Alerts are delivered via email or text providing route flexibility and auto dispatch features to decrease time. This new software streamlines the intake process and provides greater efficiencies. DSI has taken scheduling of liquids to a whole new level.”
