Point Reyes Farmstead wins Sofi Gold Award for its blue cheese dip

Point Reyes Blue Cheese DipPoint Reyes Station, Calif.-based Point Reyes Farmstead’s Blue Cheese Dip, Original Blue flavor, has earned the Specialty Food Association’s (SFA) top honor: a Gold sofi Award in the dip or salsa category.

Point Reyes Blue Cheese Dip, Original Blue flavor was one of 125 Finalists selected by a national panel of specialty food professionals from 2,737 entries across 32 award categories. Winners were announced June 30, 2014, at the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City.

In addition to the original blue flavor, there are two other flavors: bacon & caramelized onion and truffle & sage.

Known for award-winning, hand-crafted artisan cheese since 2000, Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Company’s flagship product is Original Blue (2011 sofi Best Cheese). In recent years, the company introduced Toma (2013 sofi Best Cheese) and Bay Blue (2013 sofi Best New Product). The Point Reyes Farmstead product line is available nationally at independent cheese shops and specialty chains as well as at www.pointreyescheese.com.

President's Address --2020 Vision

They say hindsight is 20/20, but IDFA President and CEO Connie Tipton is turning that old adage on its head. She plans to look forward to the next five years with a focused vision on important changes ahead for the dairy industry. In her address Tipton will challenge industry leaders to be willing to shake things up. She will unveil plans to ramp up IDFA activities during the run up to 2020.
