Dairy Foods is accepting nominations for the Tom Camerlo Exporter of the Year award, presented with the cooperation of the U.S. Dairy Exporter Council. The Tom Camerlo Exporter of the Year trophy will be presented at USDEC's annual meeting in Chicago on Oct. 16. The recipient will be the subject of a feature article in the November issue of Dairy Foods.

Individuals can make a nomination on behalf of their own company or another. The nomination form is online, and the deadline is Aug. 1, said editor-in-chief Jim Carper.

The award is presented annually to a company that demonstrates leadership in driving global dairy demand and advancing U.S. dairy exports as well as commits resources to export market development and makes exports central to its overall growth strategy.

Dairy Foods considers a nominee's export activities, including how long the company has been exporting, the products it exports, the countries served and its growth in export sales.

The Tom Camerlo Exporter of the Year award is named for the visionary former chairman of the U.S. Dairy Export Council whose steadfast determination that American dairy companies look to the global market for growth has helped transform the industry.
