American Custom Drying has completed upgrades to its food-grade spray dryer and associated manufacturing facilities in Burlington, N.J. This includes the installation of new pulse jet baghouse systems, automated wet mixing system and inline metal detection.

GEA Niro Soavi appointed Alltech Supply, Woodridge, Ill. as its distributor for high-pressure pumps and homogenizers.

Beneo Inc. and Horn announced a new partnership. Horn is now Beneo's Western U.S. regional distributor. Beneo offers complementary solutions for Horn’s full line of best-in-class ingredients.

Chr. Hansen has upgraded its processing, warehousing and laboratory facilities for food ingredients with coloring properties in Canossa, Italy.

FONA International announced the opening of a new innovation center in Guangzhou, China.

Hamilton Scientific announced the reintroduction of Harry Kloeppel & Associates, a premier supplier of Hamilton Scientific laboratory furniture and fume hoods, to service the Midwest region.

Romer Labs significantly expands its Allergen portfolio with new AgraStrip, new AgraQuant F.A.S.T., new EnzymeFast test kits and new Biopure allergen positive control materials.

International Paper was named as the No. 1 company in the Forest and Paper Products sector in Fortune magazine's annual ranking of "The World's Most Admired Companies 2014." Sealed Air was recognized as the most admired company in its industry. Sealed Air ranked first among 12 companies in the packaging and containers industry.

Tetra Pak acquired Switzerland-based Miteco, a leading provider of production solutions for soft drinks, fruit juices and liquid food.

Thiele Technologies Inc. has acquired Symach palletizers business based in Terneuzen, The Netherlands. Symach is a supplier of end-of-line palletizing and load-securing technology. The acquisition will strengthen Thiele’s capabilities as a supplier of total bag handling solutions for the industrial markets.

President's Address --2020 Vision

They say hindsight is 20/20, but IDFA President and CEO Connie Tipton is turning that old adage on its head. She plans to look forward to the next five years with a focused vision on important changes ahead for the dairy industry. In her address Tipton will challenge industry leaders to be willing to shake things up. She will unveil plans to ramp up IDFA activities during the run up to 2020.
