The chocolate milk is a option in a children's menu offered after 4 p.m.

Dean Foods Tru Moo chocolate milkThe Wendy's Co. today said it is promoting a $1.99 meal for children that includes "tasty options" such as TruMoo chocolate milk, Juicy Juice Apple Juice and apple slices. TruMoo is a registered trademark of Dean Foods Co., Dallas, and Juicy Juice is a registered trademark of Societe Des Produits Nestle S.A., Vevey, Switzerland. Dean Foods is No. 1 on the Dairy 100, Dairy Foods' annual list of the largest dairy processors in North America.

"Today's economy makes it harder for families' to enjoy the fun experience of dining out together," said Craig Bahner, Wendy's Chief Marketing Officer. "We're lowering our Kids' Meal price and offering more choices for side options. Together with our expanded value menu, we offer quality foods, variety and portion sizes to make the family meal a great experience," Bahner said. The Kids Meal will be offered after 4 p.m.

The low-fat milk is sold in half-pint containers. Besides chocolate, Wendy's sells plain milk. Both milks are offered throughout the day. Dean Foods is the sole supplier.

Wendy's, based in Dublin, Ohio, is the world's third largest quick-service hamburger company. The Wendy's system includes more than 6,500 franchise and company restaurants in the U.S. and 27 countries and U.S. territories worldwide.
