Dairy processors who produce beverages plan to increase their use of glass and aluminum materials in 2012, according to a newDairy Foodssurvey. Glass shows an increase of six percentage points and aluminum 5% points. BNP Market Research conducted a web-based survey ofDairy Foodssubscribers in February.

Of those responding, 50% process milk and 49% flavored milk. Other beverages processed are juices (40%), teas (29%), sports drinks (28%), smoothies (26%), energy drinks (25%), coffee drinks (23%), water (20%), punches (19%), soy (9%) and other (16%).

One $100 American Express gift check was used as an incentive and awarded at random to a respondent who completed the survey.
