Unilever's Popsicle brand today announced the launch of the Yosicle, said to combine "the classic taste of Popsicle pops with the creamy deliciousness of yogurt." The frozen novelty will be in stores this month.

"We're always searching for exciting new flavors to present to our Popsicle fans," said Brian Critz, Senior Brand Manager for Popsicle. "We know families enjoy the tastes of yogurt and Popsicle, so we combined the two flavors to create a unique Popsicle experience that they can share together."

Available in four varieties featuring three unique shapes, Yosicle pops contain 10% nonfat yogurt and are said to be an excellent source of calcium per two-pop serving. The varieties shapes and flavors include"
Yosicle Torpedo! pops in three flavors: Purple Berry, Watermelon and Vanilla.
Yosicle Layerz! pops in two flavors: Cotton Candy & Vanilla and Orange & Vanilla.
Yosicle Duos! pops with two flavors on each stick: Watermelon-Vanilla and Cotton Candy-Vanilla or Purple Berry-Vanilla and Cherry-Vanilla.

Popsicle also said it has partnered with candy brand Sour Patch Kids in a novelty. (Sour Patch Kids is a trademark owned by Kraft Foods and used under license.) Each ice pop has a sour ice shell and a sweet ice center, and is available in lime, raspberry and orange flavors. Boxes of Yosicle and Popsicle pops have a suggested retail price of $3.99. A Popsicle Sour Patch Kids variety will also be available as a single serve item.

Other dairy products from Unilever include Ben & Jerry's, Breyers, Good Humor and Magnum.
